Week 2
Hey guys!! I actually really enjoyed doing these activities. The concept map was very easy to do and I can see how it will be effective in my classroom. I loved using Glogster. It was very kid-friendly and easy to figure out. My students will love to do this!! I was thinking about using it in my reading class next week instead of having my students do a traditional book report, I was thinking about having them make a book report on glogster. I am excited about this. I also can see where Animoto will be helpful in my classroom!! My favorite tool that I had never heard about was the voicethread. It was very easy to do and it would be an awesome way to teach a lesson and post to my classroom blog for students who were absent and not able to see my lesson. I loved this tool!! I have enjoyed this class so far!! Hope everyone is having an awesome week!!

Hello everyone!! My name is Lindsey Thorn. I am from Trinity, AL. I am married to my kindergarten boyfriend and we have 2 children. Cole is 4 and will start school next year. Chloe is 2 and is my wild girl. There is never a dull moment at my house. I graduated from University of North Alabama with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have taught Pre-K, 3rd grade, and recently changed to 5th grade. I teach at West Morgan, the school I attended from Kindergarten until I graduated. I love being home!! This year I am teaching with my 5th grade math teacher!! Besides my family and school, I LOVE Alabama Football!! One of my favorite things to do is to watch football!! This will be my 2nd semester taking classes at UWA. I am very excited about this class and look forward to learning strategies I can use in my classroom.
